Charter with us
Whilst Catamarans are very stable the main problem
is that apart from the saloon which is always huge,
in our view unnecessarily so, and the main bedroom,
every other compartment is a squeeze because they
have to fit them in one or the other of the two hulls
which individually are very narrow indeed.

The fact is that all but one of the “cabins” will be a
tunnel , usually at the stern of the boat in which there
will be no room to walk around or get changed, there will
be exceptionally low headroom and minimal storage.
All cabins will generally be windowless and depend on a
hatch for ventilation and light. If it rains you swelter.
The galley and bathrooms can by necessity be no wider than
the width of each pontoon. The bathrooms will usually share
a shower with a toilet with no glass shower screen, so everything
gets wet.
There is absolutely no storage below decks so bags and
cases have to be stored in the small cabins further reducing
what minimal clothes space that may have existed. Because
there is no room below decks the storage of sufficient water
is impossible.
At the end of the day these boats were designed to accommodate
two couple over a long week end. They were never intended
for ten people for a week. The only way you can solve the
problems accompanying bareboat charter is to start from
the bottom and design a boat for just that purpose.
That is what we at Coral Reef Charters have done.
